Creative Direction · Brand Strategy · Visual Storytelling
Creative director, content strategist, and editorial photographer building brands at the intersection of sports, culture, and elevated storytelling. Bay Area based, everywhere reaching.
The Story
Most people in this industry took a straight line to get here. I didn't. I was a D1 All-American volleyball player at Loyola Marymount, a psychology major, and the kind of person who walked into a cadaver lab for grad school — before deciding the fashion world was calling louder.
That pivot led me to Los Angeles, to Theresa Matthews Studio, where I worked as a celebrity product placement stylist — putting brands in the hands of Jessica Alba, Janet Jackson, and more. It was there I learned how to build a visual narrative around a product, a person, a moment.
But life doesn't move in one direction. I became a behavioral therapist working with autistic children, earned my Master's in Occupational Therapy, and spent years in clinical work. Photography started as a creative release during that chapter — an exhale after emotionally intense days. Then the pandemic hit, and suddenly full-time creative work wasn't just a dream. It was the move.
Now, as Roxanne McClure Creative, I bring all of it. A psychology degree that helps me read people. A clinical background that makes me endlessly patient and observant. A fashion career that trained my eye. An athlete's discipline that drives my work ethic. And a camera that captures what most people miss — the human moment inside the bigger story.
What I Do
I embed with talent and personal brands as their creative lead — managing full content calendars, Reels, stories, and brand partnership execution. Currently serving as content director for Ari Waller, Golden State Warriors in-arena host.
I source, pitch, and produce brand collaborations for talent — from initial outreach through creative execution and delivery. My fashion industry roots and sports access create unique partnership opportunities.
Narrative-driven, story-first photography across sports, editorial, hospitality, interiors, lifestyle, and headshots. Published in Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Martha Stewart, and more.
